Plenty Of Fish’s ‘Meet Me’ Feature…What’s the Point?

If you’ve been on POF recently, you’ve probably used their “meet me” feature thingy. Because not only is it fun to judge people based on their pictures (let’s be honest, Tinder is a success for a reason) but it’s also easier than sending a first message, amiright?

What I don’t understand is why, as a person someone wants to meet, I can’t then click on and view their profile. All I get is a notification that “someone” wants to meet me and a picture.

WTF am I supposed to do with that, POF?

It used to be that you could click on and view the person’s profile, send them a message if you want, but not anymore! Now it’s just, hey, congrats, you’re not a completely abhorrent individual, however, for whatever reason these people who are interested in you aren’t prepared to contact you first and well there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it.

Oh sure, I could pay for a membership to Plenty of Fish and find out who wants to meet me but I feel that’s akin to paying for Tinder, and that’s something that I hope I’ll never be desperate enough to do.

Get your shit together POF, we want to know who wants to meet us and we don’t want to pay you. You’re Plenty of goddamned Fish, accept your near-the-bottom-of-the-barrel-ness and bring back the meet me feature as it should be.
